How sources are selected
Alabama Power, county offices and state or federal agencies are used for permitting claims. Community references support place identity, not legal boundaries. Every regulatory page links the records used in its research.
The current editorial review date is November 4, 2026. Dates describe our review, not an agency certification. Read the source and the issued permit when planning actual work.
How gaps and conflicting information are handled
A general source cannot establish conditions at your lot. We distinguish ordinary maximums from approval, historical examples from current conditions and agency fees from contractor prices. Where sources differ, the page names the chosen source or asks you to confirm the detail.
Lake measurements, schedules and fees can change. An archived research record makes the basis inspectable; it does not freeze the rule. The site does not promise rankings, engineering outcomes, permit issuance or a particular contractor result.

How images and maps should be read
Architectural images are generated concepts used to illustrate the setting. They are not a contractor portfolio. Diagrams explain parts and questions; they are not construction drawings.
Maps use cited geographic records for orientation. Community pins are not offices, property corners or proof of service availability. Use a survey and the responsible agency for parcel decisions.
